Daniel's Senior Awards Ceremony

We are so proud of Daniel for being in the top 1%! He's only .01 points away from being Salutatorian. I don't know how they figure this out before the school year is even over and I don't know how two kids can have grade point averages that close together. Daniel's is 4.88 and Jacob Morgan's is 4.89. Of course, Carson Wengert still has a 5.0 and is the Valedictorian because they haven't factored in his last semester. (We found out after graduation, once they factored in the last semester, that Daniel actually tied for Salutatorian. His final GPA is 4.89 and his class rank is 2 out of 551.) There are four other Higley students who were offered the Heritage scholarship to BYU, but I don't think they all received four years guaranteed like Daniel did.
