In10sity Dance Competition

Wow, those dance competitions are long!  Emily had a dance at 10am and another at 12:30pm, but between driving time, waiting time, and a super long awards ceremony we were gone for nine hours!  Whew!  She did great, though, and I'm so proud of her.

Getting ready back stage

This is the production number with the Strut Club girls from all age groups, "Shake the Room."  Watch for Emily in front and on the box in back.

Junior Strut, "Play that Sax."  Emily is in front most of the time (where she belongs, of course)! ;-)

Emily accepting the High Gold medal for "Shake the Room."  Her teachers appointed her to be the representative for the whole group to accept the award.

Finally done and ready to go home!

Nathaniel's Birthday

I can't believe he is 17!!  He just wanted a low-key birthday.  We had Olive Garden take out and cake and ice cream on Thursday.

He got money and clothes.  I guess I did well picking out the shirts because he has worn three of the four already.

On Friday night, Michael and I took him to P. F. Chang's for dinner.  It was delicious, as usual, and we had a great time.

On Saturday night, he went bowling and out to dinner at In and Out Burger with his friends.
Happy Birthday, son!

Spring Break Misc

Emily had already seen Beauty and the Beast with her friends, so she stayed home with Jonathan (he doesn't like to go to movies--crazy, right?) and Michael and I took the other boys.  We loved it!

Betsy invited us to meet them at Peter Piper Pizza for an afternoon of fun!  The kids had a great time!

Here are the boys at Makutu's Island.  It's an indoor play park.  So fun!

Nathaniel and I went to the University of Arizona for the day to take tours and learn about the programs they offer.  It was a really nice campus and it seems like a great school.  It's not his first choice, but it's definitely a possibility.

The kids finally got their Christmas gift of a PlayStation VR (virtual reality).  It had been out of stock for a long time and we were able to get it toward the end of Spring Break.  They love it!

The boys kept begging me to go in the pool, no matter how many times I told them how cold it would be.  They didn't care.  Daniel got out first, then Andrew.  I had a hard time getting Jonathan out!  Crazy boys!

Cousins!

Like I always tell the kids, when there is a funeral the silver lining is that we get to see family.  It was so hard to say goodbye to Jim, but it was very nice to see Shannon and Jay and their girls.

The day after the funeral, we had everyone over for dinner.  Chloe loved drawing with Emily.

Uncle Jay was excellent at making balloon animals.  It was a huge hit!

It was Julia's third birthday that day.  The kids had a great time celebrating with her.

All the May cousins

Emily's Birthday

Emily is 14!  I can't believe it!  She had a fun party with her friends the Friday before.  They were so LOUD, but they had a great time!

On her birthday, we all went out to eat at The Cheesecake Factory.  It was so good!  She was so excited!

Daniel and Andrew in their food coma

Happy Birthday, Emily!!
