Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!

On Saturday night, we went to Lauren Williams's wedding reception. I have been looking forward to it because I wanted to see Teresa. We also got the added surprise of seeing the Memorys there and we were able to talk to them for a little while. It was a lovely reception.

At church on Sunday, the musical number was the primary and the young men and young women singing "Love Is Spoken Here." It was really nice. Relief Society was great. They had yogurt and fruit for us. Erin Greene taught the lesson and all the class one young women were in there. After church, they handed out Nothing Bundt Cakes. They've been doing that for the last few years and I love it. Michael grilled steaks and the boys made the sides. Emily and Nathaniel both called me today. While they cleaned up, I went upstairs to take a nap. When I woke up from my nap, we had family home evening. Michael gave the lesson. He talked to the boys for a long time about how grateful he is for me. He also talked about how when I gave birth to Nathaniel, he remembers me lying there after they put me to sleep again after Nathaniel was born. They insisted that he go with Nathaniel but he felt bad leaving me. He said that when he looked back and saw me lying there, it looked like I had given my life for Nathaniel. If it weren't for modern medicine, I would have. He said so many nice things and I really appreciate it. We played Taboo, my favorite game. Daniel and I won. Then we helped Andrew a little bit more with his Capstone and he did one more practice. Daniel went to bed right after the game because he has his AP exam in the morning.
