We met the Akers, Steve, Rich, and Erin at Golden Corral. It was funny because they sat us at the exact same table as last year. It's right in the corner by the ice cream maker. At first, I was worried it wasn't going to work out but everybody said that they were fine with making it work so we did. I ate way too much and we had fun talking. We opened presents. Betsy and I got something for everybody to open. Even Steve had a few things to open. I got everybody a trivet tree with Christmasy colors and I gave Steve a box of Cheryl's cookies that he can freeze and eat a few at a time. He seemed pretty excited about that. We had a really nice time!
